- Technical information. Like virtually every website, the servers that deliver this site automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the referring page. My hosting provider handles this for security and performance.
- Usage statistics. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Website, such as pages viewed, visit length, approximate location (city or country), device type, and how visitors found the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this; Cloudflare Web Analytics does not.
2. Cookies and Local Storage
This Website uses Google Analytics cookies to measure site usage. It does not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab).
If you use the light/dark theme switch, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it on your next visit. That preference stays on your device and is never sent to me. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

4. Service Providers
